Team categories expanded for annual HR awards

With the entry deadline approaching for the Australian HR Awards, HC looks at the new categories introduced this year

Team categories expanded for annual HR awards

In HR, opportunities for self-recognition and acknowledgement of achievements can be few and far between. A lot of the work by nature happens behind the scenes, which can mean that successes slip by unnoticed.

The Australian HR Awards provides a rare opportunity to celebrate hard work and results as a team and to raise the profile of the HR function within the wider organisation. And it’s not just large corporates with extensive resources at hand that win each year. In particular, this year new size categories have been added to existing team and company awards to ensure that, as the awards grow in popularity year to year, companies of all sizes have opportunity for recognition.

With the call for nominations currently underway for this year’s event, here is a rundown of the new size categories:

Employer of Choice
Now split into 1-99 Employees, 100 – 999 Employees, 1000+ Employees plus a specific category for Public Sector and Not-For-Profit organisations.

  1. HR Team of the Year
Due to an overwhelming number of nominations last year, this category has been split into two, dividing companies into those with up to 1000 employees and those with over 1000 employees.

The full list of categories and details on how to enter are available at www.hrawards.com.au. Nominations close Friday 12 May.
