Record nominations for Australian HR Awards

Nominations for the 2016 Australian HR Awards reached a new record this year following another strong response from the industry.

Nominations for the 2016 Australian HR Awards reached a new record this year following another strong response from the industry, proving that this event is firmly established on the industry calendar.

In particular, an overwhelming number of strong entries in the Australian HR Team of the Year category means that this will now be split into two awards according to company size (over or under 1000 employees).

Chief Executive of official event partner AustralianSuper, Ian Silk offered his congratulations to all the nominees.

“AustralianSuper is delighted to acknowledge HR professionals everywhere for their efforts to create workplace environments where their colleagues can perform at their best,” he said.

The research process to determine this year’s finalists is currently underway. All finalists will be announced in the July issue of Human Resources Director (HRD) magazine as well as the official event website on Monday 18 July. Successful finalists will be notified prior to this date.

The 2016 Australian HR Awards will be held at The Star Sydney on Friday 9 September. Over 750 HR industry professionals attended last year’s event and with such a strong response to the call for entries this year, everyone planning to attend is encouraged to book their table early to avoid missing out.
