Health and safety at work – what you need to know

In the years since the Model Work Health and Safety Laws were adopted by states and territories, a recent run of cases have proven timely reminders to HR professionals to be aware of their obligations.

Now HRD has brought together partners from Australia’s top workplace law firms to shed light on the areas of confusion and complexity that are proving most challenging for HR professionals.

The Employment Law Masterclass will cover implications of recent cases including Blyth v JBS Australia Pty Ltd, Vijayan Kothandan v Transdev [2018] and Baig v AWX Pty Ltd [2017; a review of HR’s obligations and a look at the possible outcomes of the independent review of the model Work Health and Safety laws.

More information about the program is available here.

The Employment Law Masterclass will be running in:

  • Brisbane – 13 November, Hilton Brisbane
  • Sydney – 20 November, Dockside Darling Harbour
  • Melbourne – 27 November, Crown Promenade
  • Perth – 29 November, Mercure Perth
