Progressive organisations are beginning to treat the workspace as an active tool rather than a passive backdrop, according to a workplace research psychologist.

All great in theory. Unfortunately in the companies that I have worked in they have used the deconstructed workplace as a way to save money on office space and rent and instead of being like what is reported above it has destroyed the culture and the morale of the workplace.

Like anything - done well it can have a great return, but done with the wrong intentions and it creates more harm than good.

An interesting article - I certainly agree that environment is a critical factor to successfully building trust, collaboration and communication in a workplace.
