If your company was embroiled in a matter with the Fair Work Ombudsman, would you rather endure a public shaming over a court battle? An increasing number of employers are opting for the former.

Its a ridiculous outcome to publicly parade businesses in the media. Granted they have breached their obligations, some intentionally, but to run the risk of impacting on the businesses bottom line through outing them like some common criminal seems a tad stupid. I wonder how it would be taken if employers starting publicly outing employees who steal or destroy business property?...I am 100% supportive of enforcement of an employers legislative obligations, but there must be a balanced approach, and actions like this stink of egotism.....
