    The first thing we all need to do is stop assuming that only Women care for children.

    Did you notice that your very next article headline - directly under the headline for this article is "Flexibility increasing opportunities for working mothers"? Yes, "mothers".

    We need to consciously use the word "parent" instead of "mother". By always using the word "mother" we instantly treat "fathers" who want flexibility as abnormal.

    I have reviewed many organisations' Flexible Working Policies and Practices - and this is the first change I make. It is simple, but powerful.
