Over the past year, Leslie has been working to foster and develop a positive, inclusive, and motivated culture within ghd Hair, while continuing to grow as an HR professional.
Leslie has taken a proactive, innovative, and people-focused approach to tackle a variety of HR matters – from performance management, leading organisational restructures, to providing advice on fair work disputes across all levels of the business. Leslie’s efforts have been substantiated by a 20% drop in turnover; a 16% improvement in overall ghd team engagement score; 25% of business being promoted/advanced; and an 80% spike in tenure in two-five years category.
This four-year experienced HR leader stays informed and updated by immersing herself in day-to-day HR industry news and forums. She also continues to develop herself by completing a university degree, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, AIM-run short courses, as well as the ghd Ambitious Minds Leadership Program – all whilst working full time. She was recently accepted to be a part of a six-month HR mentoring program with HR Plus, and was also invited to fly to London to present the ANZ HR strategy to ghd’s global HR team and international markets.
