Michelle Banfield is responsible for Fonterra’s global leadership, learning, recruitment, talent, D&I, and engagement strategies. Her team works with senior leadership to ensure HR solutions respond to business challenges and are embedded throughout the Co-operative’s 20,000 employees. Banfield has transformed traditional approaches to engagement which saw Fonterra’s engagement increase to its highest level last year. She has a passion for creating an environment for individuals and teams to succeed and she cares deeply about the experiences people have at work. Banfield started her career as a lawyer in New Zealand and a Magic Circle firm in London, and has since worked for Westpac in Australia and more recently at Fonterra in a variety of roles.”
