chief diversity, inclusion and people officer
Marissa Andrada became Chipotle Mexican Grill’s first chief diversity, inclusion and people officer just last year. In this role, she works to bring to life the brand’s purpose, which is “to cultivate a better world” through its people. Andrada’s initiatives are focused on fostering diversity and a culture of wellbeing to inspire mutual learning, development, and personal and career growth. Under Andrada’s leadership, Chipotle’s benefits have been redefined to include a new tuition assistance program, access to mental healthcare, and a quarterly bonus option open to Chipotle’s 85,000+ Chipotle employees. Prior to joining Chipotle, she was the senior vice president of human resources and chief resources officer at Kate Spade & Company and senior vice president of Partner Resources for Starbucks Coffee Company. Her previous HR roles also include senior vice president of human resources at GameStop Corporation and head of human resources at Red Bull North America.
