Accomplished executive Lori Rodden was appointed chief human resources officer of The Hartford in late 2019, to lead the company’s human capital strategy amid rapid technological innovation and demographic change for the industry. Rodden also played a crucial part in The Hartford’s acquisitions of Aetna’s group life and disability business and The Navigators Group. In her current role, Rodden oversees all HR functions for approximately 19,000 employees, including talent management, compensation, benefits, and diversity and inclusion. She has more than 20 years of experience with The Hartford, where she served in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as the lead HR business partner for property and casualty, group benefits, claims, and actuarial. She was also previously the HR lead for middle market, large commercial, sales and distribution, and underwriting. Before joining The Hartford in 1997, she held HR roles at Ames Department Stores and Barnett Bank of Tampa. Rodden holds a bachelor of science in business with a concentration in HR Management from Binghamton University.
