Leena Nair is Unilever’s first female CHRO and its youngest. Prior to becoming CHRO, she was the global senior vice president for leadership and organisational development and global head of diversity and inclusion, driving the company’s brand to a record high and step-changing its diversity agenda to industry leadership. She also led the creation of a world-class leadership centre in Singapore as well as the launch of key technology innovations which significantly simplified the company’s core HR offerings. Nair also held a variety of HR roles for Hindustan Unilever in India, including VP of HR for South Asia and general manager of HPC and foods and head of management development. She joined the company in 1992 as a trainee and began making history - from being one of the first female managers to opt for a factory stint to becoming the first woman on HUL’s management committee and its youngest executive director.
