The International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM) is an international association focusing on HR information management, systems issues, trends and technology.

Its website includes a product and services directory, an education centre and sections for publications, events and hot topics. Some of these are very limited in their usefulness to Australian practitioners as the IHRIM has a strong international focus and most of the online publications require paid subscription access. The site also features bulletin boards, chat groups, listservers, plus articles from the association’s publications, with a strong focus on the integration of information technology and human resource management.

The most useful HR resources here are ‘on the web’, with in-depth pages on data warehousing, HR associations, news and magazines, labour, government and technology resources and listserver lists, and HR news and magazines, with links to international daily HR news providers.

The site’s design is finger-drummingly plain and navigation is somewhat challenging with a number of topic overlaps on different pages. While the IHRIM site does contain some insightful content, it will be of limited use to Australian HR professionals.
