Lighter Side: You do what? Weirdest jobs you’ve never heard of…

You won’t believe these weird – and not so wonderful – job titles actually exist.

Ever wondered what you could be doing if you decided to dip out of HR for a while? Take a look at these weird – and not so wonderful – job opportunities.

Dog-food tester

“If you wouldn't put it in your mouth, don't you dare expect your dog to eat it," says Mark Gooley, owner of pet food company Huds and Toke.

According to Gooley, dog-food testers should expect to try everything from doggie treats and chewy bones to liver mixture. Delicious.

Waterslide tester

Definitely the most wonderful among some very weird jobs – being a waterslide tester doesn’t exactly sound like the most trying of tasks. We’re not sure you even need any qualifications…

IMAX screen cleaner

Didn’t cross your mind that those screens might need cleaning? We didn’t either, but all the spit wads, soda and sticky sweets thrown at screens soon builds up.

“The biggest problem is that they get dusty,” said screen cleaner Michael Quaranto. “The most dust we've ever seen was a quarter-inch thick.”

Face feeler

Probably the creepiest of the crop – a face feeler caresses the supple skin of models who’ve been chosen to test beauty products.

Ever wondered how shaving brands and beauty companies can claim their products give you the smoothest skin? A face feeler is the person of authority.

Cup Keeper

The Stanley Cup is the most coveted sports prize in Canada but did you know the trophy is chaperoned at all times?

The official cup keeper is paid to accompany the trophy during its travels and make sure it doesn’t go astray.
