The winners of the Australian HR Awards were announced to much fanfare on Friday night with over 700 HR industry professionals gathering at the Westin Sydney to celebrate the success of colleagues and peers.
Microsoft’s Rose Clements took home the prestigious Australian HR Director of the Year award, ahead of stiff competition from the likes of Vaughn Paul of Optus, and Amanda Revis from Suncorp Group.
The Australian HR Team of the Year was taken out by Heritage Bank – Bob Hogarth accepted the award and said his team was fortunate to work for a company who puts its people first.
Meanwhile, the Australian HR Rising Star of the Year went to Jessie Hommelhoff of BHP Billiton Manganese, and Hatch Associates’ Ron Pettit won HR Manager of the Year.
CEO of Credit Union Australia Chris Whitehead was crowned Australian HR Champion on the night.
