Staff at Sydney Airport have been setting up camp at work and not going home between split shifts

Isn't there precedent against long breaks between short shifts? I seem to remember something relating to minimum wage workers being required to work short shifts, then wait around for a few hours and work again. I can't remember if it was cleaners or perhaps cooks.
