The vast majority of new HR initiatives fail to deliver, says one study. Why is this and how can you improve implementation?

I would be greatly interested in how this study is applicable in the year 2017. Does it stand the same? One thing is for sure here, overall HRtech will witness a surge in the investments and few of the companies loosing on them also.

As long as we have sales people "selling the sizzle and not the sausage" we'll have this problem. HCM is a tremendously complex world that has to cater for culture, law, trends, strategy v transactional operations as well as industry and generational expectations!

Where technology is being sold for technology's sake and a blind eye is turned to how people will actually use it and whether or not it can undertake all that is required, it is bound to fail. (p.s.... don't let IT bully HR in the buying decision.)
