Requiring an employee to work on a public holiday is an unpleasant reality for many employers throughout Australia this holiday season – what are your rights if they refuse?

I always find this interesting. It seems those people who live alone without family remain vulnerable to a higher number of unreasonable work requests, including higher restrictions on when they can take leave (ie not in school holidays).

It seems the way single people are treated in the workplace is a sleeper issue of increasing concern.
