Social media recruitment: don’t get left behind

According to the latest research as well as the word-on-the-street, social media is not only a credible way to attract candidates, but is quickly becoming the way to find talent who will be the best cultural fit.

    We certainly found that the Social media recruitment complements the traditional means and as we commenced utilising Social Media the web traffic also increased. However, if anything it has produced "broader or less focussed applications" so it has not simplified the short-listing and interview processes at all and we have moved to more precise and effective outcome based competency recruitment/ assessment where we have quantifiable results. This puts the application into focus against the role design (again outcome based competency approach).
