The cost of sick leave to organisations is dire, and may be a lot higher than many anticipated, a new study has shown.

Research that I work off has it higher at about 9.6 pp /year and in the reports words only about half is medically related. I work in this space regularly and have had amazing success such as; The reduction of unplanned absenteeism of 1800 in the first year ( and ongoing) in company of 450 people or 38 months without an LTI or No unplanned absences by 78% of the total workforce. These issues are all related to the existing workplace culture .All of the intervention show a positive and ongoing ROI
