Employers have a lot of room for improvement on performance management practices, according to a survey by PageUp People

In total agreement. Managers don't take the time to find out what's really going on for employees throughout the year and let slight mishaps and uncertainties go unnoticed. It's like the ostrach putting the head in the sand rather than asking when different behaviours go unnoticed. Unrecognised behaviours are stored away and grow in the employee until one day there's an explosion from a minor event!
