Global HR survey reveals CEOs are still viewing HR as a ‘necessary evil’ – does your CEO give you the support that you need to inspire your workforce?

I am indeed fortunate to have a CEO who truly perceives HR as a strategic function and constantly champions the HR function.

The CEO'S support is pivotal in elevating the importance of the HR function.

It is definitely important to gain the trust and support of the CEO, and other senior leaders to ensure success of the HR function. I would say, though, that if your CEO doesn't understand your role, then you haven't done your job in educating him/her, and showing the true value of your function. Get runs on the board people, and use those runs as leverage to implement even more valuable programs!
