Would a $1,000 cash bonus be an incentive to hire a mature-aged worker? The federal government is handing out cash to businesses in order to increase workforce participation.

The government cannot be too serious if they believe an employer will stop age discrimination for a measly $1000 rebate.

If this is the kind of "incentive" mature workers are to depend on for getting a job, I think we are truly sunk!

    I agree with Sylvia.
And, Employers, generally, are NOT interested in hiring older staff -they are disinclined to hire someone that has more experience than they do..
