General Manager, HR Strategy & Organisational Development & Integrated Reform Program Director
Sue has worked as the General Manager, Organisational Development at CSIRO (reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive) since September 2009. In this capacity she has led the Organisational and Learning and Development functional areas responsible for People and Culture Strategy development and implementation. Sue has also led the Workplace Relations and Policy area and currently is the Director of the Integrated Reform Program Office – a decadal reform of CSIRO’s Operating Model.
Relevant achievements include: leadership of the development and adoption of CSIRO’s Innovation Cultural Roadmap which has enabled CSIRO to measure, benchmark and plan interventions to boost its capacity to innovate. The ‘Innovation Roadmap’ was developed through primary research and extensive literature reviews and validated through consultation with industry stakeholders and a leading global professional services company.
Sue has also led the development and implementation of a range of People and Culture Strategies e.g. Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion, which were selected as finalists for best strategies in professional awards. She has also led the design, development, implementation and report writing of a range of survey reports (many bespoke) that have been presented to and highly valued by CSIRO’s Board.
