Robert has an extensive career in Human Resources, which began as a contract Employee Relations Advisor and Curriculum Designer with Ford Motor Co. Since then Robert has operated within and managed across the full spectrum of Human Resources disciplines in a variety of industries which include; FMCG, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Agribusiness and Freight. For some time Robert has led Leadership/Strategic HR roles in publically listed and privately owned organisations, and has completed assignments in North America, the United Kingdom, Asia and the Middle East. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching, a Grad. Dip. in IR and HRM as well as a Master's Degree in Organisational Systems. Robert advocates for a client centred approach to HRM and is passionate about ensuring practical people programs enable the delivery of business strategy, foster better employee engagement and a sense of community amongst staff.
He is currently the GM Human Resources of StarTrack a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia Post. It is Australia's largest Freight and Express business, employing in excess of 11,000 people across Australia and generating in excess of $3.3b in revenue annually. StarTrack has commenced a trasformation program, aligning the cultural norms, operational and commercial capabilitites and governance programs of what were Australia Post Parcels and StarTrack Express. He loves food, surfing and cycling but most of all, spending quality time with his young family.
