First findings- a comparison of 2009 data and 2010 data appears to support the suggestion that in the second half of 2009 remuneration among participating HR Managers actually fell slightly. The median base for HR Managers in Sydney is currently $100K whereas in October last year the median base was $105K.
Analysis- our data shows that there are currently some variations in the Median Salary Packages enjoyed by HR Managers in different cities.

· Melbourne - $112,815
· Brisbane - $125,622
Benefits – HR Managers based in Brisbane enjoy much greater access to Free car Parking - 45% compared with only 30% in Sydney. Melbourne tops the charts here with 28% of HR Managers having access to flexible work arrangement benefit whereas, in Brisbane, the number is much smaller with only 11% flagging this as a benefit in their workplace.

The numbers speak for themselves. With a relatively small sample size, Brisbane’s Median Package figures look a little out of kilter- one possible explanation is that a number of participants may work in the Resources sector which is a successful sector and probably paying well at present.
